The "Control of Allergic Rhinitis and Asthma Test" (CARAT) is a brief self-administered questionnaire to quantify the degree of control of Allergic Rhinitis and Asthma. The initial phases of development and validation of the CARAT questionnaire are available in two original papers: Respir Res 2009; Allergy 2010. The development of CARAT involved the active participation of more than 100 Portuguese physicians and over 350 patients.
